Chris graduated in Law from Queens University Belfast in 2014. He completed his post graduate degree at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and qualified as a solicitor in a general practice firm in 2016 before joining Lacey Solicitors in 2018.
Chris principally works within the Insurance Defence Litigation department, developing the area of specialisation within the firm. He also frequently advises on private client matters, road traffic accidents and general litigation proceedings. Chris has experience in various courts across Ireland and has extensive knowledge of law and procedure.
Chris has previously worked as a family law specialist, frequently advising on divorce, separation and ancillary relief in addition to children order matters.
Chris has been a committee member on the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors’ Association (NIYSA) – www.niysa.com – since 2014, when he was appointed as the IPLS representative for his year. Chris continues to sit on the committee and was elected as the committee’s Vice Chair for 2018. Chris is also a member of Belfast Solicitors’ Association – www.belfast-solicitors-association.org, and the Law Society of Northern Ireland – www.lawsoc-ni.org. Chris is a committee member on the Law Society of NI’s Future of the Profession committee.
Chris has received recognition from his clients not only for his knowledge but also for his approach to assisting clients in a sensitive, straightforward and friendly way.
In his spare time Chris is a keen swimmer and plays waterpolo. He also enjoys getting out for a few holes of golf when possible.
